The Office of the Government of the West Herzegovina County for European Integration announces Call for training for bicycle guides within the project "Cycling routes for the improvement of natural and cultural heritage of Herzegovina and Montenegro - Cycling Rural". The need for specialized guides has long been expressed by the increasing number of tourist destinations in our area, but also due to intensive development and expansion of the new cycling offer through the project "Cycling Rural", which requires the service of a professional guide on planned bike tours.

Such training will provide basic knowledge about guiding recreational cyclists, better presentation of our trails and areas, and the ability to respond appropriately to all expected and unexpected phenomena in this type of recreation. Training for bicycle guides consists of: Holding a course for a minimum of 20 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, according to the program. Trainings will last 5 days in two cycles (1 weekend + 1 weekend). Trainings will include: guidance techniques, orientation, first aid, nature guidance, group guidance, bicycle service, etc .; Holding exams for students and issuing certificates of completed course to students who have passed the exam; Certificate awards for trained guides. The project "Cycling routes for the improvement of natural and cultural heritage of Herzegovina and Montenegro - Cycling Rural" is implemented within the 2nd call of the Cross-border Cooperation Program Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro 2014-2020. The project started on October 1, 2019, and implementation will last 18 months. The total value of the project is 495.000,00 euros, of which the European Union finances 400.000,00 euros. The European Union is financing this project with the aim of strengthening and diversifying the quality of the tourist offer, and the development and promotion of cycling and tourist offer in the open, in rural areas of the cross-border regions of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
