Based on the decision of the Municipal Assembly of Herceg Novi on the introduction of excursion tax, with the beginning of the summer tourist season, charges for visiting the Stari grad tourist site will begin.
In accordance with the legal provisions, the income from the tourist tax is exclusively the income of the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi, the collection and payment of which is supervised by the Administration of Local Public Revenues.
The tourist tax is collected by a tourist agency, another legal entity or an entrepreneur who is registered for
carrying out tourist activities with the obligation to pay the collected amount of excursion tax to the tourist organization.
Payment of the excursion tax will be made to giro account number 510-9063208-98 opened at CKB bank A.D. Podgorica and giro account number 520-9063208-36 opened at Hipotekarna banka A.D. Podgorica, while from 01.01.2026. year, payments should be made exclusively to the specified account at Hipotekarna banka A.D. Podgorica.
An excursion tax has been established for each visitor who visits the Old Town as part of organized groups of tourists, in the amount of 1 euro.
Boarding and disembarking of groups of tourists will be done at three locations; the bus stop at the flower shop on Dubrava, the arrival platform at the main bus station and the bus stop at »Tonsati«.
