Herceg Novi City Library and Reading Room.PI City Library and Reading Room Herceg Novi, in the subsystem of public libraries of Montenegro, with over 30,000 books, is known as a modernly structured institution, whose activity is based on the application of international library standards.Located on Herceg Stjepan Square, one of the most beautiful squares in the Bay of Kotor, it has the status of a public institution.It has about 60,000 units of monographic publications, 70,000 units of serial publications, about 90,000 units of press clipping, about 13,000 units of small library material, three manuscript books and a significant number of titles of old and rare books and serial publications. It also has several significant legacies and collections.Monographic publications have been written in more than 20 languages, and 619 books belong to the category of old and rare books. The oldest book is a critical edition of Petrarch by Alessandro Veluttel, printed in Venice in 1550.With the development of information technologies and hyperproduction of information, it represents a modern library and information center.
